Ford recalls nearly 600,000 vehicles

Ford annouced on Monday that it will be recalling about 572,795 Focus models from the 2000 and 2001 model years. One recall involves a bolt located in the front suspension which can become loose and cause vibration and noise. In a small number of cases, this problem has lead to the separation of the ball joint. It has been reported that Ford Motor Company has given the order to halt all production of the 2003 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra. Supposedly this decision was made due to quality concerns over problems experienced with the Cobra''s new 390 hp 4.6L supercharged powerplant.
