[07/26/2001] Fun Ford Weekend and Focus Central introduce Focus Frenzy!

American Autosports Productions, the company who operates the Fun Ford Weekend Drag Racing Series, in conjunction with Focus Central is pleased to announce that a special class, limited only to the Ford Focus, the Ford Focus Frenzy, will be run at the Fun Ford Weekend season finale during the 11th Annual Ford Mustang World Finals at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX this October 5th, 6th, & 7th. And, this new class will run using the standard NHRA bracket format; NHRA safety rules will be in effect.

This class will sponsored by Dennis Hilliard''s Focus Central of Tehachapi, California. Furthermore, in attendance at the event will be two special 3500 watt Kicker Audio Focus vehicles built by Classic Design Concepts, sponsor of the Mustang Illustrated Magazine Fun Ford Weekend car show.

Bill Alexander, President of American Autosports Productions, had this to say regarding this recent announcement: "Fun Ford Weekend is very excited about introducing this new level of Ford performance to our many fans and the opportunity for new participants to compete in Fun Ford Weekend events. This will provide a new arena of competition for new Ford enthusiasts to the sport of drag racing.
