[08/10/2005] Toyo Tires® Signs as Title Sponsor of NHRA® Toyo Tires® Nationals in Maple Grove

Toyo Tires® has signed as the Title Sponsor of the NHRA® Toyo Tires® Nationals September 15th through the 18th at historic Maple Grove Raceway. Maple Grove is the nineteenth stop of the twenty-three race NHRA® POWERade® Drag Racing Series, considered the pinnacle of drag racing worldwide.

Situated near Reading, Pennsylvania, the Maple Grove quarter mile track is recognized as one of the premier drag racing facilities in the country. During its 42-year history, the track has been the site of many national record performances. The NHRA® POWERade® Drag Racing Series brings the top professional categories including: Top Fuel Dragster, Fuel Funny Car, Pro Stock, Super Comp, Pro Stock Motorcycle, Top Alcohol Dragster, Top Alcohol Funny Car, Super Gas, Competition Eliminator and Stock Eliminator. Racing greats will include: Tony Schumacher, who set the record top fuel pass at Maple Grove in 2003 at 4.441-seconds; 13-Time NHRA® POWERade® Drag Racing Series Funny Car Champion John Force; Warren Johnson, multiple champion and the first Pro Stock driver to exceed 200-mph; and many other greats.
