Extra Information from the Owner
It all started in the spring of 2006, when my friend sold his 2001 Neon, and bought this car for himself. It worked, and could be driven, but it needed alot of work still (Tachometer didn't work, Speedometer read incorrectly, instrument backlights were inoperable, Etc.) He drove it for about a year, until he blew the head gasket. He let it sit in his yard for about six months, with zero interest in repairing it (Not to mention, zero skill in automotive repair), so I offered him a trade, My 1991 F150, in perfect working order, and $1500 dollars. He accepted it, and it has been mine ever since. I tore it apart as soon as I got it, but I was in a hurry, and took too many shortcuts the fist time around, resulting in a crappy running vehicle. After dropping the oil pump rod into the bottom of the oil pump, I decided it was time to do this over, and do it right. Now, needless to say, it runs great, with only a few modest aftermarket parts to speak of. It still needs new upholstery, but hell, It looks good from the outside, although I would love to go over it in Grabber Blue, and add a couple of stripes down the sides!
