April 24th, 2001 - Bought it off the lot for $8600 cash.
50k miles/couple of scratches. The dirty car salesman had it for 3 months and laughed at our offer. We walked; he came back and begged for our money. Drove into Discount Tire and spent $600 on tires. June 14th, 2001 - Installed PRO 5.0 shifter. Also decided to use stock handle because I like the feel (had to pay $15 for 2 metal bushings! rip off!) Awesome feel; Mustangs should come from the factory with PRO 5.0's. June 23rd, 2001 - Finally decided that the stock handle is too sloppy for me. I put the Power Tower stick on that came w/ the PRO 5.0. Looks cool too. July 28th, 2001 - Got my Granetelli springs, Mac C/C plates, and offset steering rack bushings finally. Installed them that day. Took all day with a friend. Neither of us had ever done this before but luckily I was able to use my neigbor's impact tools to get the job done and also his knowledge. Everything went very well and my car sits at a very nice stance. I just have to get it aligned now! Future upgrades: Tokico 5-way adj. struts/shocks, Factory-Five upper and lower control arms, 6-point cage, and brake upgrades and possibly Mac fenderwell induction system. |
