[03/31/2002] News from Steeda!

By: -

Steeda Autosports of Pompano Beach, Florida has been very busy! Not only has Steeda made plans to expand their business, but they are also pumping out lots of new products for Mustang enthusiasts.

Steeda have just released their brand-new performance Mustang parts catalog for 2002. The catalog features 40 full-color pages with over 800 performance parts. Look to find parts such as axles, brakes, chrome accessories, control arms, exhaust, gauges, headers, intakes, shifters, shocks & struts, superchargers, suspension parts, tune-up parts, wheels, and much more.

Also in the new catalog is Steeda?s new solution for the fuel starvation problems on 1999 and up Mustangs. According to Steeda, the stock in-tank pump is not capable of supporting more than 300 horsepower, and the old geroter-style high volume pumps don?t last long enough with the ?returnless? fuel systems. Steeda?s new fuel system supports over 400 horsepower with its two vane-style fuel pumps. Steeda claims their pumps outlast others by 10 to 1. Thanks to Ford?s Technology Transfer initiative, Steeda was able to develop their new pumps for part of the C.A.R.B. certified supercharger package for 1999 and newer 4.6L 2-valve Mustangs. The direct bolt-on fuel system carries the Steeda part number 555-3003 and includes the fuel sender as well as any hardware necessary for installation.

Be on the look out for Steeda?s hot new Name Plates for 1996 and newer 4.6L GT?s. The plate is CNC-machined out of billet aluminum and anodized to Steeda blue. It installs very easily, in about one minute with adhesive tape. The Steeda Billet Name Plate carries part number 555-0611 and sells for $24.95.

Over the past five years, Steeda has been growing at an incredible rate, doubling their product demand. So the executives over at Steeda Autosports thought it would be a great time to expand their business. They are planning to build a 30,000 square foot warehouse and office building. It will house, Steeda?s advertising department, manufacturing and engineering departments, and will almost double Steeda?s warehouse storage capability. A new CNC machine room will be built as well as high-performance testing areas. Construction for Steeda?s newest addition should be completed by May 2002.
