Extra Information from the Owner | |
Car was bought 3 years ago for $750. I've basically done a restoration of the front end, and making it possible to drop in this 302 was no easy task! It originally had a 200' inline 6 w/ C4, a good dependable motor. But, as the saying goes, there's no replacement like displacement! The .448/.472 FRPP cam along with the D00E heads should make for an interesting setup. The neatest thing is, all the components are matched to each other, from carb to oil pan.
If you're about 17 or 18 and plan on doing this type of modification, take a lesson from me: your parents will mostl likely hate you the entire time your car is in the garage. It does suck, but just think of how all that hard work is gonna pay off when you're done! I've been bitched at since I started this project, but I'm still happy with the results. All of my friends have said, 'Damn!' when they first saw it, and it's not even done! Don't ever let go of your dream to have an American V8 under the hood screaming down the road, faster than just about anything out there. Do it, and do it right! |
